A Case of Post COVID-19 Subacute Thyroiditis

Subacute thyroiditis is an immune reaction of the thyroid gland that often follows upper respiratory tract infection. It uncommon but usually a self-limiting inflammatory condition. The clinical presentation varies from person to person, includes neck pain or discomfort and painful diffuse goiter. There at times transient episode hyperthyroidism followed by euthyroidism sometimes hypothyroidism. We describe case previously healthy 34- year-old female presenting with symptoms consistent subacute thyroiditis. patient had recently recovered mild COVID-19 Labs imaging were diagnosis was provided symptomatic treatment prednisone propranolol uneventful recovery.
